Skincare is like anything in life: you reap what you sow. The more you invest in your skincare, the  greater results you’ll benefit from. Problem skin conditions won’t be fixed after just one session. Just as you
wouldn’t expect to run a marathon after one jog round the block, many skin conditions take time to heal which is why we always recommend a course of treatments, as opposed to just a one-off.

The First Step

Our skin is as unique to us as our fingerprints. Everyone has different types of skin and will suffer from different skin conditions during their lifetime. With any first-time client to the Skin Hub, we’ll have an initial consultation to ascertain what that client’s concerns are and what they are hoping to achieve by coming to us.
The initial consultation allows us to recommend the treatments we feel the client needs, and signpost them to any skincare products that they can use at home to supplement their time in the salon.
It may be that the client would benefit from different types of skin therapy from our range of state-of-the-art treatments. If that’s the case we can devise a bespoke package, tailored to suit the clients’ need.

Treats and Try-Outs

Not every facial will result in the need to book a course of treatments. Many of our clients enjoy a facial as an occasional treat, their way to relax and unwind for an hour or so. Then there’s the “one-off for a special occasion” facials, where the client wants to feel and look good for an event – the Image Skincare signature facial is perfect for this, leaving the skin glowing and hydrated.
We also fully understand that before investing in a course of treatments, it’s only natural to try them out beforehand.  All we ask is that you think long-term. You’ll achieve much greater results as your treatment plan begins to get to work on your skin.

How Many? How Often?

Chemical Peels – after one treatment you will notice an improvement in your skin tone and texture, however, for long-lasting results it’s recommended that you have a chemical peel every 4-6 weeks. A peel strips away the top layer of the epidermis, using a range of skin-safe acids.
Good for: sun damage, acne scarring, hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, fine lines, and wrinkles.

Microneedling

Using small, sterilised needles to penetrate the skin and encourage collagen stimulation to rejuvenate the skin, microneedling usually takes four to six weeks for the results to show  themselves. Bear in mind that your skin took a while to build up those problems you want to address, so one treatment won’t magically get rid of them.
Ideally, it’s recommended that clients schedule 3-6 microneedling sessions, spaced every 4-6 weeks to achieve optimum results.
Good for: reduction of acne scarring, dark spots, wrinkles, and large pores as it stimulates fresh collagen and elastin.

Protégé Elite

Protégé Elite uses radio frequency (RF) technology which helps to strengthen existing collagen and stimulate new collagen growth. Although you may see results straight away, the real results come from repeated treatments, with the skin tightening over a six-month period.
For face and neck rejuvenation, treatment is recommended in a course of 5 for maximum results. A one off top up is recommended every 12 weeks, and a full course may be repeated every 2-4 years.
Good for: wrinkle reduction, skin tightening, improving texture to sagging skin of the eyes/brows, face, jaw line, neck, and areas of the body.

Dermalux

The Dermalux Flex is medically CE Certified. It uses different combinations of LED technology to treat a range of conditions. Because of its design, the Dermalux Flex can be used on all parts of the body, enabling it to home in on the problem areas requiring treatment.
After one session, you will notice an improvement to your skin. However, it’s recommended that for the majority of conditions (skincare and muscular skeletal pain relief) an 8-week intensive programme consisting of 12 treatments is booked, consisting of two treatments per week for four weeks, followed by one treatment per week for four weeks.
Good for: reversing the visible signs of ageing, clearing acne and other skin blemishes, accelerate healing of muscular skeletal complaints.

Byonik

Byonik repairs the skin at a cellular level using a combination of hyaluronic acid, pulse-triggered non-invasive laser light, and products for home use after your treatment. It’s repeatedly been cited as one of the most effective methods on the market for rolling back the years, without going under the knife. Hyaluronic acid is the essential hydrator in our skin and Byonik really gets to work on hydration.
Not only is this a very relaxing treatment, but the results will last up to four weeks after your first treatment. The recommended number of treatments and their frequency will depend on your skin (although we recommend top-ups every 6-12 weeks) and what you would like to achieve. As with all skin rejuvenation treatments, improvements will build up over time as your treatment plan progresses.
Good for: the Byonik system is great for improving the skin’s texture, decreasing pore size, and reducing the signs of ageing.
