Even before the Government gave us the official green light to re-open, we were working hard behind the scenes to make sure Tonic Day Spa was Covid-safe.  The first thing you’ll notice on arriving is that we’ve erected a clear Perspex screen around the Reception desk, which means you will be greeted by Lisa or Jayne in a safe manner, with only two people in the Reception area at any one time.

We’ve put contactless hand sanitiser stations around the salon, as well as in every treatment room, and you’ll also notice that of our all hand towels and couch rolls are disposable.  We’ve also got disposable, single-use covers for the face cradles on our massage beds.   Where linens are still in use in the massage rooms everything is changed after every client and laundered at 60 degrees.

All of our therapists will wear PPE whilst you are with them.  You’ll also notice that we’ve spaced out the manicure and pedicure areas, with a screen between seats at the nail station, and pedicures now being done in their very own room.  All equipment is sterilised and sealed after each client.  Your safety, and that of our team, is our primary concern.

How can you help us?

• Before you arrive, we ask that you complete the Health Questionnaire, which you can access from the link in your booking confirmation email. This will help to speed things up on arrival, and will give us time to contact you, should the questionnaire flag up anything we need to clarify with you.
• Please wear a face mask to your appointment, and for the duration of your treatment.
• We ask that you don’t touch anything, whether choosing your nail colour or looking at items on our retail shelves.  A member of the team will be happy to assist.
• We’ve split the staff into two teams: the Dream Team (Julia, Kim, Georgie, Ellie and Lisa) and Team Trouble (Jade, Becci, Natalie, Jordan and Jayne).  Once you have your appointments, please stick within your team every time you visit us for a treatment.

As well as all of the changes to the salon, we’ve been busy becoming Barbicide Covid 19 Certified.  The online training course was designed by Barbicide, a leading supplier of cleaning and disinfectant products to the salon industry.  The aim of the certification is to equip beauty professionals with the knowledge to perform even safer services when returning to work.  The course taught us how Covid-19 is transmitted and the symptoms and risks before detailing practical considerations for beauty pros such as PPE, surface cleaning and client interaction.

We want you to feel safe whenever you visit Tonic Day Spa, and we’re confident that if we all continue to work together, following the latest Government guidelines, we’ll be able to give you the experience you would expect from us.
